Frequently Asked Questions
How do I receive a quotation
Unfortunately very few trees live in the same environment. It is impossible to cost tree work over the phone. Therefore please contact us for a site visit and a free no obligation quote. Please fee free to email any photos beforehand alongside any queries.
What if my tree has a Tree Preservation Order (TPO) or I live in a Conservation Area?
As a responsible company we carry out checks with your local planning authority, in particular WODC, and submit any necessary applications on your behalf. We carry out this service free of charge.
Can I use wood chip or keep the logs from my trees?
Many of our customers now keep wood chippings for their gardens. Wood chip and mulch is ideal for keeping weeds out and moisture in. You are welcome to keep the logs from any tree work or have the logs removed from site.
Why should I hire a qualified operator?
Tree surgery and the use of chainsaws is incredibly dangerous. It is imperative anyone working on or around your property is adequately trained and insured. We are NPTC qualified and have in excess of £2M liability insurance.
What if there is no or limited access to my back garden?
This is a common issue with tree or garden maintenance. However, we will always find a solution even if it means gaining access through your house. We use protective flooring mats to move waste through the home if need be. It may take longer than usual but there will always be a way around any problem.
When is the best time of year to have work done on my trees?
It is recommended that trees are worked on after leaf fall and bud burst. However, this is not the case for all trees and recommend we look at every tree individually. We respect wildlife habitats so may well recommend a later date if this is the case.
